This—THE SOUNDTRACK OF MY ENTIRE ADOLESCENCE—dropped 17 years ago today.
So weird – I woke up thinking about this album.
This is in my top 5 of all time…every song, every line.
Complaints without solutions are meaningless. Don’t just complain about what you don’t like - provide solutions that could be equally or more effective in the given scenario(s). Cause I’ve got to tell you, if it’s just whining and insults, it comes off as someone with no intent of making a difference themselves. Anyone can complain, but people who provide solutions make a difference. The two go hand in hand - “This is wrong, here is how it should be handled.” - but one can’t exist without the other if real change is the actual intent.

Love this
Everything I’ve ever let go of has claw marks on it.
Everyone hates advertising until they’ve lost their cat or need to market their startup.
Of course I wanted to be in love, of course I wanted to have someone light up my night in the darkest hours, of course, of course I did. But I wanted a novel, I wanted a story in motion, and I didn’t want that love to be the end of the story.
Every time someone else has called me crazy, it’s been worth it.
